Allison Farrell, and Honors College alumna who recently published her Honors thesis, Parental Impact on Child Physical Activity and Sedentary Time in Appalachian North Carolina, in the Journal of Appalachian Health, has deep roots in connection with University College and several of its units and staff members. Farrell worked closely with Dr. Becki Battista, Director of the Office of Student Research, who served as her thesis director. She also worked for two years in University Tutorial Services, another unit in University College.
