Carson Sailor

Carson Sailor is a practicing Public Historian in the North Carolina High Country and is the current Director of the Appalachian Heritage Museum. Mr Sailor is also the Chairperson of the Town of Boone's Cultural Resource Advisory Board, a member of the National Overmountain Victory Trail Association Board Of Directors, an adjunct faculty member at Lees-McRae College, and an education/ immersion consultant at Fort Defiance. Mr. Sailor holds a Bachelors of Arts in History with a focus in Public History from Flagler College and a Masters of Arts in History also with a focus in Public History from Appalachian State University. He has been working in the Public History and Cultural Resources field in the area since 2014 and is excited to teach first year students at his Alma Mater. When not in the classroom or a museum, Mr. Sailor loves spending time outside or playing with his two beagles and moody cat.
