David Crosby is a native of Western New York which he fled after shoveling snow for 18 winters. A graduate of Duke University (BS in psychology) and Savannah College of Art and Design (MA in photography), he is a lecturer in the Art Department's Commercial Photography program. In addition to First Year Seminar, he teaches advanced studio classes (fashion & beauty), history of photography, and each May leads 16 undergraduates on a 3 week summer course in Italy. David has run a commercial photography studio in Hickory since 1984, shooting annual reports, corporate-industrial and advertising photography for regional and national companies. He has a son who is a senior in college and a daughter who is a writer in New York. He loves art, literature, music and Beauty, most of all. Oh, and all things Italian!
