Claire LeMoine

Claire LeMoine serves as the Assistant Director of the ACCESS Scholarship Program. A passion for working with college students started during her assistantship and Claire shifted her entire graduate plan of study to seek opportunities to help her grow into a professional that could best support diverse groups of students. Claire loves to provide individual support to each of her students to help them with their unique needs and goals. Claire was born and raised in Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana College in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Marketing and Management. Post-graduation, Claire worked in both the psychology and business fields in Wyoming and Louisiana as she prepared to go to graduate school. She moved to North Carolina to attend Appalachian State for her Master's degree. In 2019, Claire graduated with her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. She knew she had found her new home as soon as she moved to Boone and stepped foot on Appalachian's campus. Outside of work, Claire enjoys traveling, being outside, crafting, and spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs.
